Mei Lab @ VT
Shenglin Mei, Ph.D.
Shenglin is an Assistant Professor at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI) Cancer Research Center DC of Virginia Tech, and Children's National Center for Cancer and Immunology Research . He earned his Ph.D. at Tongji University and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Xiaole Shirley Liu , and completed his post-doc training in Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Harvard Medical School with Dr. Peter Kharchenko , as well as at Massachusetts General Hospital with Dr. David Sykes. He is a recipient of the Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award. His research focuses on understanding tumor microenvironment remodeling and regulation through integrative genomics and experimental approaches. His lab will combine single cell technologies, genomic datasets, machine learning, and experimental approaches to address fundamental questions in tumor progression and metastasis cascade, with application to underly tumor microenvironment regulator, organ specific tumor metastasis, predict metastasis at early stage and develop novel therapeutic targets.
- Welcome to the Mei Lab for Computational Biology and Cancer Genomics at the FBRI Cancer Research Center DC of Virginia Tech, We are located in the Children's National Research & Innovation Campus at Washington, D.C .
- We focused on the computational challenges in the multi-cellular components of tumor progression and metastasis, with a particular emphasis on the context dependent remodeling and regulation of the tumor microenvironment.
- We are actively seeking talented postdoctoral fellow and graduate students who are passionate about pushing the computational cancer research! - Welcome to join us! Please contact shenglinmei@vtc.vt.edu to discuss.
